Why I went for “Kindness Elves” instead of “Elf on the Shelf”

So I will be completely honest. I did not want to do an elf this year.

I thought that as cute as they could be I did not need more mischief in my class than I already had *cough cough**. So I had written off the whole idea. Then my students begged, they pleaded, and they brought up how they had loved their elf last year.

So what does any loving teacher do? We cave in.

However, in the teacher community I am hearing so many great things on these little elves called, “Kindness Elves.” These two elves not only cost less than $20 for two, but they are soft and sweet looking (No offense the other elves creep me out).

On TPT you will find many wonderful sources for Kindness Elves from Colorful Sparks.

This season to help my rowdy boys focus towards kindness I am hoping a little more kindness and a little more mischievousness will help us out. Each day we will be completing a task for our school or community. The elves will give us these tasks as they lounge in playful positions.

Make your classroom a little more kind this season!

** These elves do not have wire on the inside. While this was okay for the positions I use I would like for you to be aware.
